The membership of Alto Lakes Golf & Country Club has approved the takeover of The Outlaw at Lincoln Hills, club officials reported. The deal passed 1,948-715, or with 77.3 percent of the vote, said Robin Parks, a club spokeswoman.
The arrangement means that Alto Lakes will take over operation of The Outlaw. Once indebtedness associated with the golf course acreage is paid off through lot sales by its developers, Alto Lakes will own the golf course outright. With 36 holes, Alto Lakes will become a Ruidoso powerhouse of golf in New Mexico.
