Sun Country Golf is published bimonthly in Albuquerque, N.M., by Sun Country Golf., LLC. Publishers are Ken Adams and Dan Vukelich.
Editor Dan Vukelich is an award-winning print journalist and former investigative news producer who has worked for KOB-TV, The Albuquerque Tribune, Santa Fe New Mexican, The Washington Times, Southtown (Chicago) Economist and the City News Bureau of Chicago. He is the principal in New Mexico Golf TV, Inc., a New Mexico video production company. He has written about golf since the mid-1990s. New Mexico Golf TV produced "New Mexico Golf Tour," a PBS television travelogue and how-to series about golf broadcast in more than 24 U.S. cities, and "Golf Tour Southwest, which aired in New Mexico and Arizona on Fox Sports Net Arizona in 2003-2006. He is an avid golfer.
Business Manager Ken Adams is a retired advertising executive and former president of the New Mexico Advertising Federation. He is an avid golfer.
Although no longer actively involved with the newspaper, Publisher Emeritus and Founder Jim Surber, who launched Sun Country Golf in 2002, is a member of the Sun Country Section of the PGA of America. He works at Dick's Sporting Goods in Denver and is the former head golf professional at Quail Run Country Club in Santa Fe, N.M. He has taught in New Mexico, Monterey, Calif., and New York. He played college golf at New Mexico State University and played professionally in Europe and New Zealand.
Contributors are Sun Country PGA professionals and amateurs. The magazine is distributed as a member benefit to amateur golfers in New Mexico and West Texas who are members of the Sun Country Amateur Golf Association, the region's USGA affiliate.
